The Texas A&M Department of Geography includes 23 full-time tenure or tenure track faculty (including the Head of department), one faculty member jointly appointed with the Department of Anthropology, three tenured Full Professors in administrative positions, and two visiting Assistant Professors. The Department has five full-time support staff.

The department has a total of 153 undergraduate majors: 114 are Geography majors (including 18 Geography-GIS majors), 39 are Environmental Studies majors, and 5 are Spatial Sciences majors. We also have 23 M.S. and 39 Ph.D. students presently in residence.
