Description

Research and graduate studies in physical geography focus on surficial processes in biogeography, climatology, and geomorphology. We emphasize system dynamics at human scales and often with direct or indirect human influences. Particular research interests and projects are summarized below. Recent research has been supported by the California Department of Boating and Waterways, NASA, NSF, Sea Grant, Texas Water Development Board, USDA, U.S. Forest Service, and USGS, among others.
