Information for Graduate Students Association of Geography Graduate Students (AGGS) The Association of Geography Graduate Students (AGGS) is an organization that is designed to bring graduate students together and help facilitate communication, cooperation, and encouragement within the community of graduate students. It is also designed to enhance the graduate educational experience and to represent graduate students in the wider university community. The AGGS meets once a month during the academic year to discuss graduate concerns and ongoing events, developments, or changes within the geography department. We also get together a couple of times a year for barbeque parties, dinner and a movie, and camping trips. The AGGS receives substantial funding to enhance graduate students’ education. This money is used to help send graduate students to conferences (such as the AAG), support their research, and buy equipment (such as computers, computer programs, and a copier).
