The Climate Science Lab at Texas A&M University's Department of Geography specializes in climate change, applied climatology, hydroclimatology, synoptic climatology, paleoclimatology, and cryospheric changes.

Some examples include studies on water resources and the hydrologic cycle (soil moisture, droughts, hurricanes), surface-atmosphere interactions over both the land and oceans (land cover/land use change, teleconnections), past climates (deepsea and tropical corals, varves), and cold regions climate change (permafrost, ice sheets, sea ice).
