The Department of Geography provides exciting opportunities to explore planet Earth through hands-on experiences and research. Students develop diverse technical and analytical skills necessary to understand some of the most pressing issues of our time. Geography degrees bridge environmental and social sciences, providing a unique opportunity to study people, the environment, and their relationships. Graduates of the geography programs become leaders in a diversity of fields that require creative and integrative thinking. Geographers work in resource management, city planning, national security, energy development, and marketing, among many other careers.
