Description Physical geography at Texas A&M comprises biogeography, climatology, hydrology, and geomorphology. Climatology concerns the study of the weather and climate processes and the impact of climate on human activities. At Texas A&M, the focus of climatology research is on hydroclimatology, climate variability and climate change, applied climatology, and the cryosphere (snow cover, snow albedo, tropical glaciers). The geographic scope of our work is the United States (Texas, Great Plains, Gulf Coast, Eastern U.S.), Canada (Prairies), the tropics including the Andes and Indonesia (Mt. Jaya), and Antarctica.
